8 Ways to Get Your Site Listed on Google Within Hours

If you are new to internet marketing your time literally is money; and so it isn't uncommon to hear the question: "Are Keywords still necessary in my articles, lenses, hubs, blogs etc?" More, now than ever the answer is a resounding YES! Keywords tell give Google a quick idea what your site is about and tells it how you want it to be placed in it's search engine. So you are literally talking to Google when you add keywords.

Tip: Just like when you talk to people in real life, you will want to be careful what you say to Google. So remember, when you speak to Google use quality keywords over quantity. Some of the highest ranked sites out there (including ezine) only allow you to place 6 or so keywords.

None of us know all the criteria that Google uses when indexing and ranking a site. Google doesn't see the marketer or site builder as it's client but instead views the end user as the customer. This being said it is doing it's best to remove spam from it's search results and give bad ratings to sites that have poor content.

This being said there are some things you can do to tell Google's bots that the content on your site is high quality and is worth ranking highly.

Among these are: (if you are using Squidoo)

Put you main keywords as part of web addressUse your main keyword in each module (don't "keyword stuff" though), if you cant place it in every module try put them at the beginning and the end of the pageplace your main keyword in you bio area

(You can use this information on regular webpages accordingly too)

Other ways to make your page known to Google:

Use a variety of sources for backlinksRSS Sites: Feedage & Feed Agg are two of my favoritesSocial Bookmarking: Digg, Delicious, RedditBlogs: Blogger (It's owned by Google so it only stands to reason that it is going to cause your site to get found.)Internal Links: If your page is on a site like Hubpages or Squidoo then make internal links. Squidoo has an awesome module that will allow you to place your lenses up. Also, sites like Squidoo and Hubpages are crawled by search engines quite a bit and hold a high standing with them.Article Sites: Writing informative, high quality articles is a great way to draw in people as well as the search engines. It's hard work but well worth it.
