Are you going to aim for low monthly search volume for the top search engines, or will you go for higher volume keywords for smaller search engines? But experts believe that in order for an online business to expand its visibility on the web, they have to aim for the top three search engines - Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Social Networking and SEO - What Is the Connection?

You go on Facebook to connect with your family members who live all over the country. You share with your friends on Twitter. You may even use LinkedIn to make business connections or find a new job after graduating college. You also have your own website and are busy implementing an SEO strategy to ensure you are valued and recommended in search engine results pages. It may seem like your social networking accounts have nothing to do with your SEO strategy, but you would hear something very different if you were to consult with an SEO agency on the matter.Search engine optimization now extends far beyond your website. There are many off-site SEO strategies that work with your optimized website to deliver high search engine rankings. Just as you have probably put some work into securing high quality backlinks, you would be advised by any reputable SEO agency to put more effort into exposing your business through social networking channels as well. There are a few ways you can do this, and you should be doing all three at the same time:
• Put links on your website for visitors to share your web pages with others through their networking accounts.
• Advertise your website on your personal networking accounts.
• Set up networking accounts on behalf of your business or website.
This first option is the most valuable to your SEO campaign. The more people find your web pages useful and choose to share them on their social networking profiles, the more votes of confidence you receive with the search engines. If you have pages on your site that are shared all the time, that can have a big impact on how the top search engines rank your website. They will then share your site with searchers using their services as well.
The other two options are more aimed at bringing exposure to human viewers, but they are valuable in their own right as well. Use all three strategies together and you could boost the traffic to your website considerably.
In order to make networking work for your SEO strategy and for the attraction of human viewers, your website must have something worth sharing. Every single page on the site should be well written, with lots of information for your viewers to soak up. If you just throw up a simple sales letter or shallow landing page, very few people are going to click those buttons to share on their personal networking accounts. You have to give them something worth sharing.
This is why search engines are now using social networking shares to rank different websites, and it is exactly why a reputable SEO agency will spend the time to encourage people to share through social networking sites. No SEO company is going to waste time on something that doesn't pay off, so you can guarantee there is a connection between your website optimization and your social networking habits.
Offer something of value and allow your visitors to share your pages and bring your rating up. Next time you are on a great website and see the option to share on your social networking accounts, do them a favor and share their pages as well.

Why Do You Need Backlinks?

Anyone operating an SEO agency knows that many people do not fully understand what backlinks are or why they are so important to websites and blogs today. They know this because the people who hire an SEO company to increase their search engine rankings often ask what backlinks are and how they can be obtained. Most people have heard of these links, but that is very different than understanding how they operate. If you have been wondering this yourself, this article will give you the answers you need. What are Backlinks?
One of the things an SEO agency will work on for every website or blog they represent is the accumulation of backlinks. This term simply refers to links that go from other websites or blogs into the site or blog being optimized. In order to be effective, these backlinks need to be on highly ranked websites or blogs that have solid reputations with the top search engines.
Think of it as customer endorsements. Marketers get convincing, reputable people to be the "face" of their brand and tell everyone that they recommend a particular product, and those personal recommendations and advertisements make sales for the brand or product. The same thing happens when backlinks are established for your website or site. You have other established, reputable websites or blogs saying your website or blog is a valuable place to spend time and find information. You are being promoted and recommended to the search engines.
That is a lot of power for one little link! Backlinks are powerful because if they come from highly ranked websites and are anchored with your top keywords, they can help drive your search engine ranking with time.
Why Do You Need Backlinks?
An SEO agency doesn't waste their time on things that bring small results. They want the big results for their clients, which is why it is so telling that every SEO company spends so much time developing high quality backlinks for every one of their clients. This is at the heart of SEO strategy regardless of what type of website or blog is being promoted.
Backlinks are important because they show the search engines that your website is considered valuable to other people in your niche or industry. You are increasing your network of endorsements and those endorsements will help you sell yourself to the search engines. Selling yourself to the search engines means getting prime position in the search engine results pages (SERPs). That can be very lucrative for your website or blog.
How to Secure Backlinks
There are many ways to create backlinks to your site, and an SEO agency would be able to tell you the most effective strategies for your website or blog in particular. Some of the most commonly used approaches include:
- Guest blogging
- Article Marketing
- Social networking
- Forum commenting
In order for any of these approaches to work, you have to make sure the posts and articles surrounding your backlinks are on-topic and well written. If you aren't sure how to implement these backlink strategies, contact an SEO agency for help.

Should You Hire a Web Designer or an SEO Company?

With the alarming number of people entering the Internet Marketing world it can be difficult to know who to partner with to build a website for your company. I've noticed over the last few years that the old saying,"you get what you pay for," doesn't really work on the Internet anymore. The challenging thing is that it is hard to tell until you've spent the money if it was worth it or not. The reality is, it doesn't matter how much you spend in online marketing - it's how much you get back!Take price off the table and determine what you are trying to get out of your website. Are you selling goods or services? Is it a resource of information for your current clients or are you trying to attract new ones? Are you looking for a web designer or an SEO company?

Web Designers
Pros: Good web designers have a skill set that is hard to teach. They channel some part of their brain that can create a visually stunning website that represents your brand and help you stand out. They're artists in every sense of the word and understand lines, colors and expression better than anyone. They usually have an easier time interpreting client demands and bringing concepts to life.
Cons: Traditionally web designers are NOT coders or SEO experts. Although the websites will be visually stunning, they may lack certain conversion features or not be search engine friendly at all. Often they work with someone else to "optimize" the website and its included in a one time charge. Since things change so often with search engine algorithms SEO can never be a set it and forget it thing. If you try the one and done approach the results are what they are - not too good. So when you go this route, factor in hiring a local SEO company to actually get the most out of your investment.

SEO Companies
Pros: Good SEO companies don't over promise results or set your expectations through the roof. They have a realistic understanding of how the Internet works and how search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing interpret websites and rankings. They don't implement black hat techniques that will generate quick results at the price of ending up in Google's sandbox and they maintain good reporting to help you validate your investment. Often they will want to write your content or have the ability to edit your content to make sure you are utilizing your target keywords effectively.
Cons: SEO companies can be more concerned with performance than design. Certain layouts or elements they know have a higher impact on conversion may take precedent over the most beautiful version of your website. SEO companies can also be more expensive over the long run because it does cost money to compete - especially if you are in a competitive market.

How Do You Choose?
If you are not concerned with visitors, traffic or conversion for your website definitely consider going with a web designer. If you choose the right one for your project you will be really happy with the results and the cost will be much lower in the long run.
If you are only looking to be found in the search engines for something like your company name or law firm name then you should be able to do some light reading on optimization and work with your designer to incorporate proper title tags for your site. If that doesn't do the trick you can always work with an SEO company on a short term basis to set things straight.
For anything else I really would recommend working with a good SEO company. Especially if you are looking to get clients from the internet. People search for the same thing 100 different ways today and you need to make sure you have a seat at every table to give yourself the best opportunity to succeed. A SEO company will structure your site correctly and build you a strategy that has your long term success in mind.

SEO - The Success Plan

Why Have An Optimized Website? Simple...Website optimization involves two main critical areas: (1) the search engines and (2) your web visitors.
Most web visitors click through only on the FIRST PAGE of the search engine listings, far fewer click to the second page, and even fewer to page 3. (Isn't that true with you too?) It is with me.
Data from Yahoo gives some "eye-opening" statistics on the percentage of click throughs, for the first 10 pages of a search pages listing:
• Page 1 - 42.4%
• Page 2 - 11.8%
• Page 3 - 8.4%
• Page 4 - 6.2%
• Page 5 - 4.9%
• Page 6 - 4.1%
• Page 7 - 3.4%
• Page 8 - 3.1%
• Page 9 - 2.7%
• Page 10 - 2.9% [up 0.2% from page 9]
That's a HUGE fall in click throughs from page 1 to 2 - in fact, it's a 30.6% drop!
Imagine how a page 2 ranking slashes your profits. (And most web pages list nowhere near page 2.)
Optimizing your website and a jump from page 9 to page 2 would give you a 9.1% increase in click throughs, and a 39.7% spike by moving to page 1.
What a HUGE difference a page 1 or even a page 2 ranking over a year could mean to your website profits!
According to website optimization experts, in Google:
• 42.1% of people click on the website ranked number 1
• 11.9% of people click on number 2
• 8.5% of people click on number 3
• 6.1% of people click on number 4
• 4.9% of people click on number 5
• 4.1% of people click on number 6
• 3.4% of people click on number 7
People are not going to take time to search beyond what is comfortable.
So by applying website optimization and increasing your website's ranking from #6 to #5, could result in a 0.8% boost in traffic (web visitors) to your website.
Moving from position 5 to position 4 could mean an extra 1.2% increase in traffic.
And amazingly, going from # 2 to # 1 could increase the number of visitors to your website by 30.2%!
How much could just a 5% daily spike in your number of web visitors, through proper website optimization, boost your profits over the course of a year?
It's vital you insert your HTML code, meta tags and keywords properly on each page of your site. This aspect of website optimization is known as "on-page optimization."
But search engines also rank your website higher if it has lots of quality websites linking back to you - known as "off-page optimization."
The more quality "back links" you have, the higher you'll rank. And the more keyword-rich content you have on your website, the more other websites will want to link back to you.
When visitors ("traffic") come to your website, they have a purpose - usually to solve a problem. If your home page is all about you - how long you've been in business, all the awards you've won, and so on - your visitors just click away.
And they'll keep clicking until they find a website that focuses on them and gives them a solution to their problem.
So your website has to focus on your web visitors and make their experience pleasant.
Your content, navigation and other links and headings on each page must help your web visitors find what they're looking for quickly and easily.
But before you can apply website optimization you have to find the best keywords to use.
Keyword research and selection is not just a vital part of website optimization - it's the foundation of a successful online business. Yet choosing the right keywords is a tricky affair.
Even though some keywords get thousands of searches, they may be poor candidates for your website. You have to find keywords that bring you the right kinds of visitors, quality traffic, that will give you leads and sales. The last thing you want is traffic that just comes to your website for information, and then goes elsewhere to make their purchase.
Likewise, SEO copywriting is essential for successful website optimization.
Not only do you want your website to rank well, but you also want your web copy to be persuasive - so it funnels a good percentage of your web visitors to leave you their name and email address or go to your shopping cart.
Shopping cart optimization is another important, yet often neglected, part of website optimization.
Your eCommerce website exists to make sales and keep you in business. The more sales you get, the higher your profits will be and the faster your business grows.
If your shopping cart throws "obstacles" at your prospects, your abandon rate is high.
Do You Know How to Optimize Your Website?
Do you have the spare time to (1) learn how to do keyword research and selection, do SEO copywriting, shopping cart optimization and then (2) actually apply all these website optimization skills to your website so it works well for both the search engines and your web visitors?
If your answer is no, then let me do it for you.
If you fail to do your "on-page website optimization," you'll get just a trickle of leads and sales - compared to the flood your competitors get from their well-optimized websites.
And what about all that repeat business you lose each day? Will you get it back or will it be gone forever?

Reselling: It Is A-Changing, Hold Onto Your Customers

These days are crucial for all those who have been reselling SEO services for years. This year is surely not like past ones, with the entire online market going through many blows and issues. For example, Google has been under attack for many months now, and how the search engine sector is being managed is still in question. This, on the other hand, is not just a ridiculous banter to people who have been depending on the business for years. As SEO continues to experience difficulties, the whole business is most likely to suffer along with it. And the Search Engine Optimization Reselling sector belongs to this equation. When the controversy of Google's suspected monopoly of the search engine industry surfaced on the Web and on TV, and when the Google Panda uproar headlined news contents on the Web, several company proprietors questioned the soundness and weight of SEO Resellers that knock on their doors to introduce their services. The mentioned company proprietors are both those who use SEO services as one of their marketing approaches and individuals who do not. Therefore, resellers are now having troubles gaining new customers, in addition to retaining those who they currently have.
Consider the Increasing Competition
Most resellers always find an approach to appear like the owner of the enterprise they're promoting, but because of the emergence of bloggers and writers who expose the truth about the Search Engine Optimization Reselling business, it is now becoming less of a secret to numerous individuals. This in turn makes their methods weaker and their enterprise less trustworthy. Moreover, considering that several individuals are now into social networking sites, a number of resellers are coming up with novel methods to promote their service and expand their target market, which makes a number of normal resellers less favored to firm owners. In addition, as a result of the strengthening social media industry, more and more people are now becoming attracted to the concept of reselling a particular company's service rather than putting up their very own trade which can both be pricey and time-consuming.
Focus on client retention
If you've been in the business for years, you have to create methods to retain your existing clients. Obviously, you still need to get new customers, but giving more time and exerting added effort on your existing clients is a great method to gain security. Always remember how hard convincing a client is just for them to entrust their enterprise to you, and make it your inspiration to do your best to preserve your existing customers.
The issue with most resellers these days is their complacency when they get their future customer's "yes." They forget to remind themselves that acquiring clients is more like caring for a baby or even a pet. A child needs to be continuously cared for and supervised. Their needs should likewise be provided to them. Much like the earlier scenario, customers always wish to get pampered, and nobody wants to be forgotten.
Giving your current customers a ring each day as if you are carrying out a standard check-up is a good way for them to feel how important they are to you. Ask them what they need to have, what they liked, what they didn't like, and your areas for progress. In addition, do not quit making excellent things for them. Offer them discounts, some free merchandise from your company, or set up some kind of rewards system. Cite them on your blogs. I know a certain reseller who even refer to his buyers on his tweets as if he is just aimlessly advertising them, like they're a portion of his day-to-day life.
Indeed, there are plenty of other methods to show your customers just how much they mean to you. Ultimately, it is for you to know what certain items make your clients content. This only goes to show how crucial knowing your clients properly is.
To retain your customers and to avoid them from transferring to a "more caring" SEO reseller, continuously aspire to please them. Making them content has to be on top of your priorities, as failing to do so can result in losing them altogether.

Simple Tips for Search Engine Optimization Methods

Improving your website ranking is a race, often to the death (of the other websites). If you have created an online business only to find it struggling in a mire at the lower portion of search engine rankings lists, then you need to take steps to make sure that you start to improve your website, and get more traffic onto your pages. In order to do this, you will need to learn a few SEO methods. These are the vital resources that can help you get ahead in the race for customer interest. There are several tried-and-tested techniques for search engine optimization methods. The first, and perhaps most important, is to do your keyword research. Keywords are the lifeblood of any website, and they can also provide you with valuable information about the types of people who search your site, and their other interests. By finding out the most popular keywords for your specialty, you can improve your website. A few word changes later, and you will have more traffic flocking to your door. However, keyword research has to be done accurately, so it is sometimes best to allow a search engine marketing solutions company to do this side of the job for you.
You can also use another of the search engine optimization methods to help you, known as Full URL Linking. This involves making sure that you add the full link of your web pages to the search engine site. This helps the search engine to look through your site more easily, giving you more points. You should also change the quality of your SEO at the same time, using good quality texts, rather than quantity, and updating it regularly to insure repeated visits.
You should also use the SEO search engine optimization methods to help you make the website easier to use for both man and machine. Create SEO friendly tags on your title, including your top-ranking keyword. Embed these into the title area of the website, blog or HTML folder. You should also add more SEO-orientated Meta Tags. Ensure that this contains the major keyword at least once. Place this in the title section again to allow the search engine software to feel its way around your website using the tags. There are also many other things that you can do in order to improve the optimization of your site, but these are the ones which can be done quickly and easily.
For more detailed work, or for help on these methods, consult with a search engine marketing solutions specialist like http://www.infoyogis.com/ who can provide you with all the details you need to ensure that your website rise in the rankings.
